Report: Inter approach Conte

Antonio Conte is reportedly in negotiations for a move to Inter next season, where he’d reunite with ex-Juventus director Beppe Marotta.

This is certainly not the first time that Conte has been linked with the Nerazzurri job, although it hasn’t been on the horizon for some time.

Luciano Spalletti is expected to leave in the summer, having crashed out of the Champions League in the group stage and disappointed in Serie A, where Inter are eight points off second-placed Napoli and 19 adrift of leaders Juventus.

According to Calciomercato.com, Marotta and President Steven Zhang – representing owners Suning – have made an initial approach to Conte.

The former Italy and Chelsea tactician will be a free agent in the summer after his contract with the Stamford Bridge club expires, even though he was sacked in July.

It’d be a reunion with Marotta, who first brought Conte to Juventus in 2011.
