Sportitalia report Inter accepted an offer from PSG for Milan Skriniar but Atalanta won’t let Merih Demiral leave, so the Slovakia international is expected to stay at the Stadio Meazza.
Skriniar has already confirmed an agreement with the Ligue 1 giants who he would join on a free transfer at the end of his contract with Inter in June.
PSG have been trying to agree on a transfer fee with Inter for the January window and according to Sportitalia, they reached their target, shaking hands over a potential €15m transfer.
However, Inter won’t let their star defender leave without a valuable replacement. According to the report, they tried to get Demiral from Atalanta, but La Dea sought an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy for €25m, which is too much for the Nerazzurri.
Sky Sport Italia claim PSG’s only offer for the 27-year-old was worth €10m and was rejected by Inter days ago.
The Serie A giants refused to sell Skriniar for less than €70m last summer despite knowing that they would not be able to match PSG’s contract offer for their defender who had just one year left in his contract at the Stadio Meazza.
In any case, Skriniar is expected to remain at Inter until the end of the season, leaving for nothing in June. He is not expected to feature in tonight’s Coppa Italia clash with Atalanta.
