Lorenzo Insigne has not reached an agreement with Napoli and agent Vincenzo Pisacane reportedly met with Inter CEO Beppe Marotta at the Nerazzurri headquarters.

Calciomercato.com reports the chat started by phone and continued in Via della Liberazione in Milan, as the agent of Danilo D’Ambrosio and Insigne spoke with Marotta.

The report claims the Italy international’s future was discussed, as his deal with the Partenopei expires in June 2022.

Insigne on the renewal: ‘It’s not easy’

Inter have asked about information without making any official moves for the Azzurri captain.

Marotta needs to resolve the contractual situations of Nicolò Barella and Marcelo Brozovic and find a solution for Alexis Sanchez before he can make a move for Insigne.

But the Napoli star is not in a hurry and reportedly won’t exclude any alternatives, not even a renewal with Napoli.

At the moment, there’s great distance between President Aurelio De Laurentiis’ offer and the captain’s demands.

The outlet claims Inter are monitoring the situation and could be ready to make a move in due time.

  1. @InterFan75… Even though I would love him to play for Inter but I don’t think he ends up at Inter. He might take advantage of this situation to seal a better deal with ADL though. Hard to see him play somewhere else, he is a Napoli icon.
