Multiple reports suggest Francesco Guidolin has accepted an offer to remain at Swansea City next season.

The former Udinese boss arrived in mid-January and helped steer the team to Premier League safety.

They’ve won four of the last six games, including surprise victories over Chelsea, Liverpool and West Ham United.

According to several different reports from BBC Wales and the Daily Telegraph, the board has offered Guidolin an extended contract.

Sky Sport Italia insist the 60-year-old has accepted and will remain on the Swans bench next season.

“He has brought exactly what he thought he would bring to us,” said Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins.

“He has adjusted in his time here — he has got to know the squad and got used to the Premier League.

“We have got our normal monthly board meeting on Wednesday and yes, we will be discussing the managerial situation.

“We will talk about the season we have had, where we have finished and what we feel we need in the summer.”
