There are reports Luca Gotti has agreed to stay on as Udinese coach and sign a new contract this evening.

The tactician had been promoted as caretaker in October when Igor Tudor was sacked, having been a member of the Croatian’s staff.

Gotti maintained since the beginning of that experience that he did not want the main role, preferring to work as an assistant manager.

He had also worked with Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea last year.

However, Udinese achieved decent results with Gotti and did not search for a replacement.
