A surprise move has been set up for the Nerazzurri to free themselves from his salary and give Cagliari the opportunity to add a highly experienced defender to their ranks at the Sardegna Arena.

Godin played 36 competitive games for the Beneamata last term, scoring twice in the process, helping Inter to second in Serie A, the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia and the Europa League Final, eventually finishing runners-up behind Sevilla.
