Sebastian Giovinco has suddenly abandoned his negotiations with PAOK and will not be joining the Greek club, claim reports in Italy, so Venezia are back in the running.

The Atomic Ant is now 34 years old and had been on the verge of making the move to PAOK last night.

However, Sportitalia claim today that talks not only cooled down rapidly, they have now been abandoned completely.

The deal will seemingly not go through and he remains with Al-Hilal.

His contract is due to expire in December 2021 and part of the reason he wanted the transfer was follow his former Al-Hilal coach Razvan Lucescu.

Giovinco has been heavily linked with a return to Serie A for newly-promoted Venezia, who earned their place in the top flight via the Serie B play-offs.

He has not played in Italy since leaving Juventus in February 2015 for Toronto FC and went to Al-Hilal in January 2019.

His previous clubs include Empoli and Parma, while he also managed one goal in 23 senior caps for Italy.
