Genoa have reportedly reached an agreement with Walter Sabatini, who will become the new sporting director at Marassi.

The former technical director at Sampdoria and sports coordinator at Bologna has reportedly reached an agreement with the Grifone’s new owners 777 Partners.

Enrico Preziosi recently stepped down from his role as President of the Rossoblu and the club have been making big changes.

Andriy Shevchenko has been appointed the new coach at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris and the next role to address was to find a transfer market man.

TMW reports Sabatini has reached an agreement with Genoa and will be announced by the club soon.

The 66-year-old has been without a job since he left Bologna in September 2021 and has experience from similar roles at Lazio, Palermo and Roma.

  1. Good pick-up..Genoa making some good moves. Young, ambitious coach. proven director. In the old days they just get Beppe Marotta or some other has-been or never was. Let’s see some decent investment and players Shevvy needs but this is an interesting project taking shape.
