Multiple reports this evening claim that Gian Piero Gasperini has decided to join Roma, despite the Juventus attempt to sway him and Atalanta’s hopes he would remain.
The coach had a face to face meeting in Tuscany with Claudio Ranieri, director Florent Ghisolfi and club owners Dan and Ryan Friedkin this week.
Although there were some areas of concern and he took a few days to consider his situation, it is now believed Gasperini has given his word that he will sign the contract.
Gasperini a wanted man in Serie A

There were some doubts today after Juventus dived in with a proposal, having lost out on first choice Antonio Conte with his decision to stay at Napoli.
However, Il Tempo, Sky Sport Italia and Fabrizio Romano all assure that Gasperini has chosen Roma and is working out the final details.

Atalanta had also hoped that the coach might change his mind and stay on in Bergamo after nine years, but he wants a different experience after almost a decade with La Dea.
It allowed him to win the Europa League, reach the Coppa Italia Final and qualify for the Champions League five times in the last seven seasons.

“Coaching Atalanta allowed him to win the Europa League, reach the Coppa Italia Final and qualify for the Champions League five times in the last seven seasons.” ~ Let’s see if he can do the same with Roma LMAO !!!!
@Omar…
At least Roma is playing in a Euro tournament unlike AC Milan. and At least Toma employ a few Italians on the pitch unlike AC Milan.
LMAO…back at you!
It’s a good hire for Roma and a terrible loss for Atalanta. Ranieri got an underwhelming team to get some decent results without having star players; I hope Gasperini will get what he needs during the transfer windows.
