L’Equipe claim that Udinese have accepted an offer worth €10m, including bonuses, from RC Lens for Seko Fofana, but that’s half the asking price.

Fofana had stated in L’Equipe this week that he had chosen his next destination and wanted Udinese to agree a deal with Lens.

However, Italian sources have remained adamant the price-tag is €20m.

Fofana had stated in L’Equipe this week that he had chosen his next destination and wanted Udinese to agree a deal with Lens.

However, Italian sources have remained adamant the price-tag is €20m.

It therefore seems frankly odd that Udinese should accept just €10m, and that is including performance-related bonuses and add-ons.

There is the possibility Udinese are keeping a very large percentage of a sell-on fee, assuming the 25-year-old Ivorian won’t stay at Lens for long.

Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims the figure is closer to €15m, including bonuses.

Lens have just been promoted to Ligue 1 and he is expected to have his medical on Monday, before signing the four-year contract.
