Samp President Massimo Ferrero has already admitted that he believes the 34-year-old will leave to ‘follow his heart and his wallet’.

Eto’o arrived in January from Everton, but scored just two goals in 18 Serie A appearances. The Blucerchiati are thought to be receiving €1m as a transfer fee.
