Report: Erkin set for Inter

Reports in Turkey suggest Inter are almost certain to sign Caner Erkin, so Alex Telles will be sacrificed.

Fenerbahce defender Erkin is out of contract at the end of the season, and has been heavily linked with a move to the Nerazzurri.

According to Milliyet, it’s now 99 per cent certain that the 27-year-old will be an Inter player from July 1, signing a three-year contract worth around €2.5m per season.

It’s thought that Coach Roberto Mancini has therefore given the OK for the Beneamata not to redeem Alex Telles from Galatasaray this summer.

The Brazilian is on loan at San Siro, and the Nerazzurri can make the deal permanent for a fee of €8.5m.

However, having missed out on the Champions League this season, the club must adjust their budget accordingly, meaning Erkin makes more financial sense.
