Sportitalia claim Edin Dzeko turned down a proposed move to Juventus over the weekend, as he is determined to have his say at Inter.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international has fallen down the pecking order at San Siro following the return of Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea.

Even if Alexis Sanchez does leave by terminating his contract by mutual consent, then Paulo Dybala is likely to come in as a free agent.

According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, Juventus made a formal offer to sign Dzeko over the last 48 hours, but the striker rejected it.

At the same time, Dzeko also arrived early for pre-season training, showing how much he is determined to make his mark with the Nerazzurri.

The 36-year-old arrived last summer from Roma practically for free, a deal worth €1.5m plus performance-related bonuses.

He scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in 48 competitive matches last season and is under contract until June 2023.

It is hardly the first time Dzeko has been linked with Juventus, as his hold-up play and work-rate make him a favourite target for coach Max Allegri.

9 thought on “Report Dzeko turned down Juventus move”
  1. I be angry if inter allowed him to leave as a inter fan, those numbers are great for a sub striker.

As a juve fan i would prefer luis suarez then cavani=as hes a free agent

  2. No surprise again. Rudiger must have thought it was an insult to be linked to the 7/9 CL runners up winners. When Real Madrid made the call it was a no brainer. Koulibaly has snubbed them if reports of a move to Chelsea intensify. Now a 36 years young striker has also followed suit. PhD Max must be tossing the jacket on the ground in the slow ball ritiro. How can a young player refuse to work with him. Does he not know that Alcatraz Max plays matrix revolutions calcio.

  3. Dzeko long enough experienced serie-A to realized that Juve is a corrupt club. Poor Di Maria doesn’t know that.

  4. Without fail, the Max-hating clown appears. Less nonsense and proper commentary please. It’s getting tiring and it’s killing the comments section.

Say what he wants but Max is a multi-millionaire coach and LA-Clown is still a nobody whose only thing in abundance is time.

Please ban him so that people will be more interested to comment and discuss!

Dzeko’s skillset is something that Juventus have missed in recent seasons – the most recent one who comes to mind of Juve who has the same mold is Manzukic who interpreted that role very well under Allegri demonstrating that Allegri’s style of football can be very effective if given the right tools. Even further back one might reference Vucinic for Conte who again did a fine job as a second striker. Morata was supposed to be that kind of player, but he’s fallen short which is why they are probably shopping around.

Love or hate the style of play, with the right tools it works fine despite the biases of some random comment Junkie.

  5. @Please Ban Lord Allegri, Spot on. Allegri’s tactic requires a target man like Mandzukic or Dzeko. But I prefer Haller to this old goat Dzeko. Sadly, he’s recently signed a contract with Dortmund.

  6. Please ban Lord Allegri

You are so right. Extremely tiring to read those constant comments regarding every single Juve story. Could be interesting to hear what he likes instead of what he hates. But of course it is easier to hate than love. But it could be a guess, that Lord Allegri probably had a miserabel childhood. At least I feel more sorry than hate to him!

  7. This is so funny. Right on cue the woke triggered feminist ban lord allegri is on the scene to police free speech. Dude you know that you are a sick stalker right?

  8. Lord Allegri comments are the only reason I visit this section.

He is creative enough to keep us all entertained, making us laugh in the process – so he is generating traffic for Football Italia.

Dzeko knows Juventus club is corrupt so he wants nothing to do with them. Prefers to stay on Inter bench than get dirty.

  9. I am just honored that this clown who wants to ban me is further stalking me. First he used the name danger boy, then NOrata and even copied and pasted my name. I do not blame the limey twat. It must be hard living in a shed, rain soaked dump, bad food, ugly women, ugly men and having to endure PhD Max dinosaur calcio all at the same time.
