Multiple sources claim Udinese will remove Andrea Stramaccioni to hire ex-Atalanta boss Stefano Colantuono.

The reports are backed by Sky Sport Italia and SportItalia, who are adamant it’s a done deal.

This week Udinese director Cristian Giaretta declared reports of a split with Stramaccioni were “entirely unfounded.”

However, the media in Italy continue to state he will leave the Stadio Friuli club, possibly a termination of the contract by mutual consent.

However, the media in Italy continue to state he will leave the Stadio Friuli club, possibly a termination of the contract by mutual consent.

That would avoid Stramaccioni getting ‘fired’ and free him up to take on a different job.

His heir on the bench is widely believed to be Colantuono, who was sacked by Atalanta on March 4.

He had been in charge of the Orobici since June 2010.
