Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has called Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot to understand his situation amid reported interest from Manchester United, according to suggestions in the Italian media.
Tuchel and Rabiot spent a season together at Paris Saint-Germain before the France international left to join Juventus on a free transfer in 2019.
Various recent reports in the Italian media suggested Raibiot had told the Bianconeri he wanted to leave the club and, while Tuttosport dispute that, they explain Tuchel called his former player to understand his availability.
The report does not claim Rabiot does not want to leave but suggested no talks between the club and the player had taken place.
It adds that, should the 27-year-old stay at Juve, he would likely be a starter under coach Massimiliano Allegri.
Despite Rabiot’s contract expiring at the end of the season, Juve will still demand €20 million plus bonuses while he could also been included as part of swap deal with Atletico Madrid for Alvaro Morata, according to Tuttosport.
In recent weeks more than one team has knocked on the door for Rabiot. Adrien can leave for a sum of around 20mln. After United and PSG, now also Tuchel is pushing to bring him in.

This sounds like wishful thinking for a Turin-based newspaper.
Can we please stop reporting twitter fan pages and Tuttosport?
Tutt are the most unrelible “source” out there.
