Roma forward Borja Mayoral reportedly wants to join Fiorentina on loan with an obligation to buy from Real Madrid.

The Spanish forward has been linked with a move to the Viola after a difficult start to the campaign at the Olimpico, where he doesn’t seem to be part of Jose Mourinho’s plans at Trigoria.

Fiorentina are, according to La Nazione, in pole position to sign the Real Madrid striker already this winter, as he seems ready to leave the Italian capital.

Borja Mayoral has a deal until June 2023 in Madrid but could join the Florentines on loan from January, but is reportedly pushing for a loan deal with an obligation to buy next summer.

The 24-year-old has only appeared seven times across all competitions with Roma this term, including three times in Serie A, but has not scored in 2021-22.

The former Spain U21 international arrived on a two-year loan from Los Blancos ahead of 2020-21 and has scored 17 goals in 53 games with La Lupa.

  1. Last season, he registered 10 goals and 5 assists. Yet Dummy Abraham who is a championship level striker is somehow given the freedom to continue being useless. Unbelievable. Borja when given the opportunity to play is a 10-15 goal striker. I’d have him as backup to Giroud and Ibra at Milan.
