Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has reportedly asked Elseid Hysaj to pay €65,000 for the refusal to enter a retreat in November 2019.

After the match against RB Salzburg in the Champions League, Carlo Ancelotti and his men refused to enter the retreat decided by the management of the club, and De Laurentiis has not forgotten the episode.

The Napoli patron has, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, asked Hysaj, who moved to reunite with Maurizio Sarri at Lazio ahead of the 2021-22 season, to pay €65,000 for refusing to enter the retreat.

Ancelotti was replaced by Gennaro Gattuso later that year and the players were fined for refusing to enter the retreat after the 1-1 draw in the Champions League.

Hysaj moved on a free transfer to the Aquile this summer, six years after joining the Partenopei, where he played 223 competitive games.
