Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has reportedly prepared a new three-year-deal for Fabian Ruiz, amid interest from Spain.

Il Corriere del Mezzogiorno claims the Napoli patron has been working hard to keep the group in tact at the San Paolo and after securing the future of Dries Mertens and being only formalities away from signing with Piotr Zielinski, the Spanish midfielder will be next in line.

The newspaper claims De Laurentiis aims to tie down coach Gennaro Gattuso with a new deal in Naples this summer and that he has prepared a bumper new three-year deal for the former Real Betis man Fabian.

His former coach Quique Setien, currently at Barcelona, has praised Fabian’s qualities in recent weeks and the Spain international’s name has also emerged in links with Real Madrid.

The 24-year-old, who joined the Azzurri in July 2018, has played 22 games in Serie A this term and his current deal expires in 2023 – but the report suggests he could enter talks in the next weeks and will most likely be rewarded with new terms.
