The Bianconeri Coach has come in for some criticism this season after a sluggish start in the league, but Gigli believes he will turn things around.

“It’s a completely Italian defect, to be critical after a match has gone badly,” Gigli said to Calciomercato.it.

“Allegri is a great Coach, I think it’s absurd to think about a replacement for him and I really believe that Juve aren’t thinking about it at all.

“Having said that, it’s right to look at the problems in the team. The Coach has had to deal with some major injuries, such as Marchisio and Khedira, which were the result of physical preparation in the summer that was restricted in order to let the players rest as much as possible.

“The Coach never goes on holiday, he’s always thinking about how to improve the team, but he’s also reiterated that he needs time and patience.

“Juventus can go very far in Europe this year and I’d advise them not to forget about their European commitments.

“Their situation in Italy is more difficult. In the league, Juve have only messed up in the matches against Roma and Napoli.

“In the others, they were a bit careless and unlucky. I liked what Buffon said about going forward without thinking about winning.”
