“We don’t put the ball in the net and to win games you need to score goals,” the Coach told Rai Sport.
“Unfortunately this has been happening for a while and we lack the necessary sharpness in our finishing. We keep making naïve mistakes that a team like ours cannot afford.
“We did something more than Lazio this evening, but we didn’t put the ball in the net and that is how you decide results.
“We cannot have just forgotten how to play football. We played well tonight, but if we don’t finish our chances then we’re not going to get points.
“We must rediscover the mentality needed, thinking every match is the last chance saloon.”
There are reports this evening that Reja could be fired.
“It’s normal for a Coach to be at risk if you don’t win for 14 games. I put myself up for debate every day, the club is well-organised. I honestly can’t understand what has gone wrong.”
Mauricio Pinilla was visibly angry when substituted, also as there was possibly a Mauricio elbow in the face not spotted by officials just before half-time.
“He got an elbow in the eye and had trouble with his vision. He might’ve angry for his own reasons or for being substituted, I don’t know…
“He is a passionate guy and reacts immediately to certain situations.”
