The goalkeeper represented both clubs during his career and is currently at Aston Villa, but his father and agent Miguel gave predictions ahead of the European showdown.
“I adore Napoli and the way they are playing,” Miguel Reina told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“I don’t know who Pepe will be cheering on, but it’ll be a very complicated two legs for both teams. I expect a very balanced tie, as Napoli are playing good football and won’t need a miracle to beat this Barcelona.
“It’s a situation with the Blaugrana that I’ve never seen before and it’s sad to see them going through this. The problems between club and players is giving off a pitiful image of Barcelona to the world.
“I’d say the current squad is 70-80 per cent dependent on Lionel Messi. They no longer have players like Xavi and Andres Iniesta, the men who made Barcelona great under Pep Guardiola.”
Barca have repeatedly been linked with a bid for Napoli’s Spain international Fabian Ruiz.
“He is a very talented player with a lot of quality. If I were a coach, I wouldn’t ever want to be without someone of Fabian’s abilities.”
