“The start of the season certainly wasn’t up to our standards, but then we got back on track and the team has more confidence now. We need to maintain the current momentum,” the goalkeeper told Lazio Style Channel.
Atalanta and Lazio only faced off on Wednesday in the Coppa Italia quarter-final, which ended 3-2 for La Dea despite going down to 10 men and Reina saving a penalty.
“We are two teams who know each other very well, we both know what awaits us today and more or less what the tempo of the game will be. We put in a great performance on Wednesday with some positives, but need to be more solid defensively and allow fewer scoring opportunities.
“I think we should take a similar overall approach today, but with more concentration and care. Atalanta have a very particular style of football and they never change that. We must be ready and have the right determination.”
