The 22-year-old, co-owned with Sampdoria, has impressed in Serie B this term after being transformed from a left-back into a centre-back.
“He reminds me of Chiellini,” Andrea Cattoli told Mondo Pallone. “He’s a left-footer with a good touch and an excellent physique. He’s very quick too.
“He’s a player who is destined for a great club – his games, his performances, his stats underline that idea.”
Regini, formerly of Cesena and Foggia, has been linked with Fiorentina.
