Reggina President Luca Gallo confirms he is trying to sign former Milan and Marseille defender Adil Rami for the Serie B side.
Newly-promoted from Serie C, Reggina are not short on ambition, having already brought in Jeremy Menez, Kyle Lafferty, Hachim Mastour and German Denis.
Now they could be joined by 34-year-old French defender Rami.
“I will not deny that Rami is on the very short list of names that Reggina are monitoring carefully,” Gallo told Sportitalia.

“I cannot say more at the moment. I just said we are close to an international profile and we’ll see what happens.”
Rami is a free agent after a very brief spell in Russia with Sochi.
During an eventful career, the centre-back has played for Lille, Valencia, Milan, Sevilla, Marseille, Fenerbahce and Sochi.
