Reggina have pledged to fight in every level of appeal open to them after they were excluded from the 2023-24 Serie B season, but Lecco were admitted after an initial rejection.

Both clubs had originally been denied licences to register for the Serie B tournament and the Consiglio Federale gave its verdict this afternoon.

Lecco had been ruled out for not having a stadium up to code, as the Rigamonti-Ceppi is undergoing restructuring work, but have been given permission to use the Stadio Euganeo in Padova, despite handing in the paperwork late.

As for Reggina, the club was excluded for financial irregularities and unpaid debts, as the takeover from English fund Guild Capital was outside the time limits.

However, Reggina have announced they will fight this ruling in every available level of appeal, which could go all the way to August 2 at the TAR tribunal.

The first step is likely to be the Collegio di Garanzia dello Sport on July 20-21.
