“We always believed in our qualities and are giving our all on the pitch,” Rebic told Sky Sport Italia and Milan TV.

He hasn’t yet been able to find the net in Serie A this season, although some of it was spent on the treatment table after dislocating his elbow.

“I do feel better playing on the left, but can also work as a centre-forward. As long as I help my team, that’s what matters.

“It’s more important for me that the team is winning and we’re doing well. The goal will come.

“I had seven or eight weeks to recover, that was a difficult time, but now I feel good and hope to start playing the way I did before the injury.”

Milan fought back from 2-0 down to beat Celtic 4-2 in the Europa League on Thursday.

“We haven’t had much time to paper for this game, but we know what to do. We are Milan.”
