Another strong contender has emerged in the running for Milan outcast Charles De Ketelaere, as Real Sociedad are reported to be targeting the Belgian.

The Rossoneri are seeking a new club for the player who cost €35.5m plus bonuses and a 12 per cent cut of the future transfer fee when secured from Club Brugge only a year ago.

He was considered a flop after failing to contribute a single goal in his debut season at San Siro and is not thought to be part of their tactical plans going forward.

A few different clubs have been mentioned as showing interest, including Atalanta, PSV Eindhoven, RC Lens, RB Leipzig, Olympique Marseille and Aston Villa.

However, now Relevo in Spain suggest that Real Sociedad are preparing a genuine offer to bring in De Ketelaere.

It would possibly be a loan with option to buy, which Milan realise is the best offer they are likely to get this summer.

  1. If no Italian team wants to have him for the next season, any option for a foreign team better be above 30mill. No growth decree, no sale abroad at a loss…
