“But we can have a good game. We just have to play the way we did in the last few games.”

Alex was also positive about the idea of more football being exported to Dubai, like the recent Supercoppa Italiana between Juventus and Napoli.

“We played against Napoli and we did well, then they went on to win against Juventus. Football must be open to the idea of playing here.”

After a short comment about Cristiano Ronaldo – “I think he's the best, he did better than [Lionel] Messi this year” – Alex spoke about his team's targets for the second part of the season.

“We must reduce the gap with Roma and Juventus. It's very hard, but we must keep working on it.

“Returning to the Champions League has to be our objective, it's very important.”
