Napoli are reportedly in advanced talks to extend Fabian Ruiz’s contract, turning down a €45m proposal from Real Madrid.

The 23-year-old midfielder is going from strength to strength since his €30m transfer from Real Betis last summer.

He was named Player of the Tournament for the European Under-21 Championships and now has three very impressive senior Spain performances under his belt too.

According to Calciomercato.com, Napoli are in talks with the player’s agent to extend the contract beyond the current June 2023 expiry.

According to Calciomercato.com, Napoli are in talks with the player’s agent to extend the contract beyond the current June 2023 expiry.

His salary would also be increased to around €3m per year with no release clause included in the deal.
