Spanish newspaper Diario AS claims that Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli is seen as a transfer target for Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid.

The Italy international turns 25 next month and was signed from Sassuolo in 2021 on loan with an obligation to buy in 2023 for a total €30m plus bonuses.

He was also linked with Arsenal, who had tried to secure him before the move to Turin, offering considerably more money.

Now Real Madrid are said to be keeping an eye on him, but only as an alternative to their first choice picks.

The preferred options would be Argentina international World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez, who is currently at Benfica, and England and Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.

These two are far younger and also far more expensive than Locatelli.

It is also notable they are more attacking figures than Locatelli, who at least at Juventus has been focusing more on defensive duties.

  1. Haha this is sooooo made up. Unless they know he makes a really good coffee, why would Real want him????

  2. Unless they are planning to build a wall and require brickies. Our little club has a conveyor belt in no short supply.
