Now Foot Mercato in France report that Real Madrid are also in the running for Bennacer’s signature, impressed by his performances at San Siro and in the Africa Cup of Nations, where he was named Player of the Tournament.
The priority for Zinedine Zidane is still Stade Rennais 17-year-old talent Eduardo Camavinga, but Bennacer is a more than viable option.
The 22-year-old was purchased from Empoli for €16m last summer, so Milan are set to make a healthy profit regardless.
