With Fiorentina interested in Borja Mayoral, Real Madrid have reportedly set their sights on Dusan Vlahovic and the Roma striker could be one of the players included in a swap deal.
Borja Mayoral is struggling with playing time under José Mourinho and has emerged as a priority transfer target for the Tuscans.
The Roma forward could move to the Stadio Artemio Franchi regardless of Dusan Vlahovic’s future.
The 21-year-old is tipped to leave Fiorentina in the winter transfer window, but Borja Mayoral could move to Tuscany even if Vlahovic stays.
La Viola need a back-up striker for Vlahovic given that Aleksandr Kokorin is not in Vincenzo Italiano’s plans.
However, with Fiorentina interested in Borja Mayoral, La Nazione reports Real Madrid are considering signing Vlahovic and could offer the Tuscans Borja Mayoral plus Luka Jovic and the extension of Alvaro Odriozola’s loan for one more season.
Borja Mayoral is on loan at Roma and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Real Madrid have already given their green light for his temporary move to Florence during the winter transfer window.
However, according to La Nazione, Real Madrid only want to sell Mayoral on a permanent deal.
Roma have an option to make Borja Mayoral’s move permanent for €20m, but clearly they won’t activate it.
The Spaniard scored 10 goals in 31 appearances last term, but has only collected three appearances under José Mourinho this season.
Vlahovic has been linked with Juventus, Arsenal and Tottenham, but seems unwilling to join the Gunners.
