Reports from Spain suggest Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on Milan Skriniar’s situation as his contract ticks down with Inter.

The 27-year-old Slovakian centre back was the subject of serious transfer rumours across the summer transfer window as Paris Saint-Germain tried to pry him away from the Nerazzurri. Their efforts proved fruitless as Inter held steadfast on their €70m+ price tag, but with less than a year left on Skriniar’s deal his future will again be a hot topic as the January transfer window approaches.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid consider Skriniar an exciting transfer market opportunity and they’re closely following his situation at Inter as the club look to tie him down to a new deal.

The Nerazzurri are still confident of agreeing a new contract but things are getting increasingly complicated in the Lombardy capital, especially as president Steven Zhang works to manage the club’s financial concerns.
