Juventus want to send Dusan Vlahovic to Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku plus cash, but Real Madrid have emerged as contenders for the Serbia international.

The striker does not fit well with coach Max Allegri’s tactics and is frustrated at the lack of scoring opportunities afforded to him in Turin.

Allegri has made it clear he would prefer a centre-forward in the Lukaku mould who can drop back, hold up the ball and then sprint on the counter-attack, as well as being far more physical than Vlahovic.

Chelsea are so far refusing to accept the asking price of Lukaku plus €40m for Vlahovic, offering circa half that cash sum.

Now Cadena Ser in Spain suggest that Real Madrid are also keeping a close eye on Vlahovic as an alternative in case their summer swoop for PSG star Kylian Mbappé fails to go through.

At the same time, if PSG do lose Mbappé, then they could go for 23-year-old Vlahovic as his replacement.

The valuation Juventus have given to the Serbian is at least €75m, as they paid €81m plus bonuses to get him from Fiorentina in January 2022.
