RB Leipzig creative midfielder Lazar Samardzic is due to have his Udinese medical and complete a €3m transfer tomorrow.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Samardzic arrived in Italy today and is preparing for the fitness tests on Thursday.
The cost of the deal is expected to be circa €3m, plus RB Leipzig will have a cut of any future sale.
He is due to sign a five-year contract for the Friulani.
It’s reported Samardzic refused to go on loan, demanding regular playing time and some certainty over his future.
The 19-year-old has represented Germany throughout the various youth levels and came up through the Hertha Berlin academy, moving to Leipzig a year ago for just €500,000.
He made just nine appearances in all competition last season, providing one assist.
Samardzic is a left-footed attacking midfielder who plays in the trequartista role behind the strikers, but can also work on the left wing.
