RB Leipzig are pressing for Milan target Dani Olmo, and have made an offer in the region of €23m, according to a report from Italy.

The Rossoneri have been linked to the Spaniard in recent weeks, and it was believed that they were leading the race to sign the player.

However the club baulked at Dinamo Zagreb’s asking price for the 21-year-old, believed to be €25m, and has threatened to scupper any potential deal.

Now Calciomercato.com state that Bundesliga outfit Leipzig have entered the fray for the midfielder, and have offered between €22-23m for the Spain international.

Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo meanwhile claim that Olmo is in fact deep in talks with a move to East Germany, and the deal could be ironed out before the end of the transfer window.

Olmo has a contract with the Croatian side until June 2021.

The midfielder was a member of Barcelona's youth academy until 2014, when he moved to Zagreb.
