Milan have been urged to give Chelsea transfer target Rafael Leao the €7m wages he’s asking for. ‘It would be a bargain at that price,’ argues Fabrizio Ravanelli.

The striker is set to take the field at Stamford Bridge this evening in the Champions League and inevitably that cranked up the already-existing speculation that the Premier League side are preparing a huge offer to poach him.

Negotiations are on-going to secure Leao to a contract extension, as his current deal expires in June 2024, but so far Milan are resisting his agent’s demands of €7m per season.

“Leao is absolutely worth that money,” assured former Juventus centre-forward Ravanelli on Sport Mediaset programme Pressing.

“It would be a bargain for Milan to renew Leao’s contract at that price. If that is the salary he is asking for, Milan should sign him to it immediately. This is a decisive player for the Rossoneri.”

Leao only turned 23 in June and the Portugal international was purchased from LOSC in the summer of 2019 for €29.5m.

They also still owe the French side a 20 per cent cut of the sell-on fee, which must be taken into account when there are reports of offers over €120m.

So far this season, Leao has contributed four goals and seven assists in nine competitive matches, having been named Serie A MVP for their Scudetto-winning campaign.

  1. No player is bigger than ACMilan.

3 players left on free transfer but acmilan become stronger and better.

If Leo doesn’t like what Maldi offer him than he can.
