Fabrizio Ravanelli is ‘curious to see how Inter will play against Atletico Madrid’ in the Champions League, as Simone Inzaghi and Diego Simeone have very different tactics.

The Nerazzurri play the first leg of that Round of 16 clash at San Siro on February 20, then the decider is at the Wanda Metropolitano on March 13.

“I am very curious to see how Inter will play in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid,” former Juventus and Middlesbrough striker Ravanelli told Radio Sportiva.

“I want to see if they have the same bravado that they usually do, to push the defenders forward and keep it high, or if they will change their way of playing.

“We always said that Inter love to let themselves be pressed, so we’ll see what happens against Atletico.”

While both Inzaghi and Simeone use a 3-5-2 formation, they have rather different approaches to the system.

Inter tend to take the initiative and dominate possession, whereas Atleti famously prefer to strike on the counter-attack.
