Antonio Conte and Romelu Lukaku

Fabrizio Ravanelli believes his former teammate Antonio Conte ‘will do everything’ to sign Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku at Tottenham even if the former Inter star is not expected to leave in January.

The Belgian forward is having a tough time at Stamford Bridge and has expressed his disappointment in a recent interview with Sky Sport Italia.

Lukaku apologised to Inter fans for the way he left over the summer and said he hopes to return to San Siro in the future.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel left him out of the squad for Sunday’s Premier League game against Liverpool and Lukaku discussed his future at the club in a meeting with the German tactician and the club’s representatives today.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Lukaku won’t leave Chelsea in January and the Blues should release an official statement in the coming hours.

However, the situation could change in the summer. Inter are unlikely to re-sign their former striker, while Antonio Conte’s Tottenham have been linked with the 28-year-old who scored 64 goals in 95 appearances under the Italian coach over two seasons at San Siro.

Conte’s former Juventus and Italy teammate Fabrizio Ravanelli believes the 52-year-old will do everything to reunite with Lukaku in North London.

“I see him [Lukaku] join Tottenham, I think Antonio will do everything to sign him,” Ravanelli told Sky Sport Italia.

“Perhaps, Harry Kane could leave, Lukaku knows Conte’s system really well and I think there’s a chance to see Lukaku and Conte reunite in North London.

“Tuchel has proved to have a strong personality in handling the Lukaku case,” the former Juventus and Middlesbrough striker continued.

“He has proved that he cares more about the group than the single player. To me, he is the best coach in the world right now.”

  1. This is absolutely ridiculous, if Spurs or should I say Levy was prepared to spend that kind of money, we would be mad to spend it on Lukaku when we could sign Vlahovic who is only 21, and in my opinion a better player.

  2. Let’s not be so short sided Lukaku, Vlahovic and Milk in North London, for dynasty like no other

  3. Vlahovic is currently one of the hottest cake in the market , And with. Heavy Bank Account Premier league Top clubs hold I think he will end up joining English Team Rather than Italian as Série-A has dropped compare to 90’s and early 2000.

  4. Vlahovic has already said he wants to stay in Italy and prefers a transfer to Juventus. Sorry EPL fanboys, not every player wants to play in that league. Why would he go to a club like Tottenham with no history of success – As Chiellini rightly said, “…It’s the history of Tottenham.”

  5. Tottenham are a snooze with no football pedigree, which is why Kane has been desperate to leave. A young player like Vlahovic has much better opportunities. Lukaku…?
