Massimo Rastelli was frustrated by Cagliari’s defeat to Bologna, saying the match was decided by two incidents.

Simone Verdi put the Rossoblu ahead with a controversial free-kick, before goalkeeper Marco Storari was sent off in the 54th minute. Federico Di Francesco’s strike then ensured that Bruno Alves’ late goal was nothing more than a consolation.

“The game was decided on two incidents: the goal from Verdi’s free-kick and Storari’s red,” Rastelli told his post-match Press conference.

“Cagliari played well from the start to the finish, we tried to get back into it. I am tired of talking about these losses, but that’s how football is and we have to accept it.”

Rastelli did however have words of praise for goalscorer Alves, who arrived in Sardinia in the summer.

“Bruno Alves? We knew he was a player with personality and charisma, but there is a lot to work on.”
