Giacomo Raspadori gives a stark warning to Europe and Italy after Napoli crushed Ajax 6-1 in Amsterdam. ‘We can do everything better than this.’

The Partenopei taught the Dutch a football lesson on their own turf and showed great determination too to come back from an early Mohammed Kudus goal.

Raspadori struck twice, as they emerged with an historic 6-1 victory, the worst home defeat in Ajax’s European history.

Piotr Zielinski, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia and Giovanni Simeone completed the unbelievable rout.

“A Champions League brace is rare, especially on a night like this. We are truly happy, we want to continue with this attitude, this spirit and keep improving day by day,” Raspadori told Sky Sport Italia.

“The coach puts a lot of faith in me, he and the club made it very clear they wanted me at all costs. If I am able to show what I can do, it’s because there is a team behind me doing the work and allowing me this opportunity. That is our strength, that we work for each other as a team.

“The important thing is that the results keep coming, we maintain that desire to help each other and in fact do it even better, because we can do everything better.”

Of all the goals he has scored this season in the Napoli jersey, which was his favourite?

“I am not accustomed to heading the ball, so I think that goal was my favourite!”
