Giacomo Raspadori has completed his transfer to Napoli and saluted Sassuolo, who gave a pictorial tour of his time there from child to man.

The 22-year-old made the move to Napoli on loan for €5m with obligation to buy for a further €25m and another €5m in various add-ons.

He is in the squad for this evening’s Serie A game against Monza and could make his debut.

Meanwhile, the Italy international took the opportunity to say goodbye to the Neroverdi.

“If I look back, I see the faces of all the people who were part of this fantastic portion of my life, your faces are etched in my mind and my heart, and it is thanks to you all today that the child I was became the young man I am today,” wrote Raspadori on Instagram.

“Now I look towards the future, carrying with me everything you passed on, that allowed me to become a man. Saying thank you will never be enough, you cultivated my passion, giving me values in both everyday life and sport that I will always retain.

“It will never be possible to be grateful enough for all you’ve given me! You were not just part of a journey, you are and will always be my family!

“Once again, an immense THANK YOU to all those people who accompanied me in these 11 years. I will always be one of you.”

Sassuolo social media confirmed as much by showing the pictures from Raspadori’s first days in the youth academy all the way through to being part of the EURO 2020 winning Italy side.
