Antonio Cassano believes Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho are better than Rafael Leao and the Milan forward liked the ex-striker’s comment on Twitter.

The former Italy international is no new to odd comments on coaches and footballers. He was recently mocked after saying at the beginning of the season that Erling Haaland would have struggled under Pep Guardiola.

On the contrary, the Norway international has scored 17 goals in his opening 11 games with the Premier League giants.

His latest comment on Milan star Leao has also caused controversy in Italy.

“He would not be a regular starter in the best teams in Europe,” Cassano told Bobo TV on Monday.

“Liverpool have Luis Diaz. Barcelona have Ansu Fati who is 19-year-old. Leao plays in Serie A, not a top league.

“To me, Sancho and Rashford are better than Leao, Sancho is phenomenal. Leao is a mix between Dembélé and Martial. He is not worth €150m he doesn’t score 50 goals per season, therefore he doesn’t really make the difference.”

Leao didn’t seem bothered by Cassano’s comments as he liked an article reporting the former striker’s quotes on Twitter.

It’s not the first time that the Portugal international appears to appreciate criticism towards him on Twitter. Back in August, he liked a meme that compared him to Milan flop M’Baye Niang.
