“This repays me for everything I’ve experienced over the years. I almost don’t quite believe it,” Ranocchia told DAZN.

“The locker room atmosphere was fundamental this season, as even when things weren’t going well, we remained united, working together and happy.”

The centre-back was asked if this was also his final game in the Inter jersey, having first joined in January 2011.

“I don’t know, I just want to enjoy this celebration and then from tomorrow we’ll see.”
