Andrea Ranocchia says the first leg dominated Inter's thoughts tonight, but “we won't sit back and relax for the rest of the season.”
The Nerazzurri hoped to overturn a 5-2 first leg defeat to Schalke, but lost 2-1 in Gelsenkirchen to crash out of the Champions League quarter-final.
“The first leg result certainly had a strong effect on this game,” said the defender.
“We were here to fight it out and gave it our all to score straight away, but we were unable to get the early goal and that changed a great deal.

“We are in the running for the Scudetto and Coppa Italia, so we will battle for those trophies until the end.”
