Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia says “it was important for us to get through” against Pordenone “it doesn’t matter how”.
The Nerazzurri were held to a 0-0 draw for 180 minutes against the Serie C side, but eventually scraped through 5-4 on penalties.
“It was tough, we knew these games had hidden pitfalls,” Ranocchia told reporters in the mixed zone after the match.
“It was important for us to get through though, no matter how. We want to go as far as possible in every competition.
