Juventus midfielder Filippo Ranocchia was thrilled to have scored for the first team against Monza and equally excited about working with Massimiliano Allegri’s team. ‘We train with the best in the world’.
The Bianconeri started with a pre-season friendly against Serie B side Monza on Saturday and Ranocchia was on the scoresheet in a 2-1 win in the Berlusconi Trophy.
The 20-year-old spoke about his emotions after the game and revealed he was ‘happy’ to have scored for the senior team.
“Scoring a goal in the first team is a great feeling,” Ranocchia told the club’s official website. “In training I often try to shoot from outside the area, I’m happy to have succeeded.
“I trained for a long time to be able to use both feet, it’s nice to have scored.”
The youngster from Perugia is focused on his own development and loves training with the first-team players at Continassa.
“A continuous growth, us youngsters train with the best in the world, and it’s great to keep learning,” he said when asked about the preparations for the new season.
“I’m focusing on consistency during the match and on the defensive phase, which I have been working on a lot in recent weeks.
“His [Max Allegri] request to verticalize and hit the opponents deep struck me the most.”
