Roma boss Claudio Ranieri has played down his row with Mirko Vucinic and claims he wants to win tomorrow's derby in the Coppa Italia.

The Tinkerman had a well-publicised training ground bust up with Vucinic last week and things looked at breaking point when the player reacted badly to being substituted against Cesena.

"He has to understand that the Coach wants him and the club does too, so he is 100 per cent staying guaranteed."

"He has to understand that the Coach wants him and the club does too, so he is 100 per cent staying guaranteed."

Turning his attention to the derby, Ranieri said: "We care about the Coppa Italia and tomorrow against Lazio we have the desire to win.

"Tomorrow's game is not an inconvenience, far from it. The entire group is determined to do well and to go far in this competition.

"Usually in a derby there are no favourites. Lazio and Roma will do everything to win.

"There is happiness and a desire to have fun in the dressing room, this I can assure you. I have not spoken with Vucinic, but my door is always open.

"I don't believe that my being clear [with the players] is annoying. I have been in this world for 20 years. Evidently it's fine.

"You can't have the right key for everything obviously.

"If someone wants to make themselves understood then come and speak with me. I repeat. My door is always open."
