The Nerazzurri had a run-out against the Swiss club this afternoon and were beaten 2-0 on Andrea Poli's debut.
“It was still a good training session and allowed us to test out the condition of some players returning from injury,” insisted the Coach.
Sneijder did not take part and Ranieri hopes to have the Dutch international back for the next Serie A match against Catania.
“I have no doubt that Sneijder is Inter's Totti, as when he is on the field, something magical always happens,” the tactician told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
Sneijder had been largely shelved by previous Coach Gian Piero Gasperini or played out of position, as he did not fit into the 3-4-3 tactics.
“This team has no limits, as we can still win the Scudetto.”
It is a bold claim so soon after the 3-0 home defeat to Napoli, although that was undoubtedly affected by refereeing errors and Joel Obi's dismissal.
