Claudio Ranieri hugged Cesc Fabregas after Roma’s 2-1 win over Como on Sunday: ‘You’ll achieve more than me.’
The Giallorossi beat Como 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, grabbing their 10th home win in the last 11.
As reported by Sky Sport Italia on Instagram, Ranieri and Fabregas crossed paths inside the Stadio Olimpico tunnel and showed mutual respect.

“I’d be happy with even half of what you’ve done,” the Spanish coach told Ranieri, who replied:
“You shouldn’t say you hope to have my career; you will achieve much more. I tell you this from the heart.”
Fabregas is one of the coaches linked with replacing Ranieri at Roma next season.
The experienced Italian tactician has signed a contract until the end of the season and will be involved in deciding his successor for 2025-26.
